With warmth, insight, and a deep understanding of Nepal, Naomi will share powerful stories of faith and resilience drawn from her years of service and connection with INF’s work. This event is an opportunity to reflect on calling, purpose, and the role we can all play in God’s mission — both locally and globally.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter of INF or simply curious to learn more, all are welcome. Supper will be provided.
Naomi and Darren Reed spent six years in Nepal, serving with INF as qualified physiotherapists.
Darren worked at Western Regional Hospital while Naomi worked at Green Pastures Leprosy Hospital. By their second term, in 2003, Darren was training Nepali physiotherapists at Dhulikhel Medical Institute and Naomi was home-schooling their three sons on a Himalayan ridge.
They both loved their local Nepali church community but challenges included civil war, rain and curfews. These experiences spurred Naomi to write her first book, My Seventh Monsoon.
The family returned to Australia in 2006. Since then, Darren has been lecturing in anatomy at Sydney University and Naomi has continued to write books as well as speak at churches.
INF Australia is a Christian Evangelical Mission who has been serving Nepal and its people for over 60 years.
INF Australia supports individuals and communities in Nepal to access the resources and training they need to improve their lives. We work across all religions, backgrounds and ages to provide support for the most disadvantaged groups in the country.
INF Australia works primarily through supporting its major partner, INF Nepal but supports some projects facilitated by other smaller organisations.
