Electives A:

1. Creative Devotions: Prose and Poetry (Joyce and Dan Soe)
This workshop is for those who are curious about how to engage with God's living Word creatively, in their everyday walk with Him. We will look at tools and techniques to both express ourselves to God in our own words, as well as notice what He's saying to us through our experiences, emotions, and surroundings.

No writing experience is required! Feel free to bring a journal and pen.

2. What do bubbles have to do with Jesus? (Amanda Lincke)
Bubble Church - it's not what you think! Next year St Hilary's will be piloting Bubble Church. Bubble Church is a service where we worship, learn about Jesus and develop our Christian faith. It’s not a way into church - it is church! Come and hear about this innovative way of doing church and how you can be involved in sharing the good news of Jesus with families.

3. Innovating in our Context 「如何在我們的處境创新」- Elective in Mandarin (Lisa Li)

Innovation begins with transformation — when the Gospel renews the way we see ourselves, others, and our world. This reflective workshop invites you to slow down, listen, and rediscover how God may be calling you to live creatively and faithfully in your everyday context. (Romans 12:2 — “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”)

Electives B:

4. Improvisation in Worship (Yi Cheng Shih and Dan Soe)
In this 45-minute interactive session, we’ll explore how to flow naturally in worship, learn to listen, respond, and create space for the Holy Spirit to move. Through simple musical examples and guided moments of prayer, you’ll discover how worship can become more spontaneous, unified, and deeply connected to God’s presence. Open to everyone who desires to grow in sensitivity, creativity, and freedom in worship.

5. Evangelism and Creativity (Jolyon Edwards)
This session will offer seven useful ideas/takeaways for sharing our faith in 2025. An informal chat about creative day-to-day evangelism from someone simple!

6. God the Creator, God the artist - Dispelling the myth: 'I don’t have a creative bone in my body!’ (Daryl Niemandt)
Psalm 139:14 says, ‘We are fearfully and wonderfully made.’ We believe we are made in the image of our God, and we therefore all have the capacity to reflect the artistry of God. God’s creative spark is different from a specific talent and resides in each one of us.  This session will explore how we can discover and nurture this creative spark, enhancing our worship, building community, and deepening our prayer life through creative arts and art appreciation.
